Company Information

Easy Does It Technologies LLC (EDIT) has been around in one form or another since 1996. Originally started in Richland Washington by Michael L Gueterman, EDIT was mainly focused on bringing greater access to the information customers had located on their Hewlett-Packard 3000 Series Business Computers. Technologies such as ODBC and Samba were still relatively new and few HP3000 shops had the necessary experience to make use of these new abilities. At this same time, a small publishing company named O'Reilly started giving away some web server software named WebSite and bundled with it a free version of a web application product named ColdFusion by a small company named Allaire. By combining all of these technologies, EDIT was able to bring the information previously locked up within a customer's HP3000 to their employees, clients, and customers.

In 1999, EDIT relocated to Rolla Missouri and in 2000 Adam Dorritie joined the company from Nevada. Along with more general HP3000 consulting, several successful higher profile projects were implemented for The Campus Bookstore at Queens University, York University Bookstore, The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, and others.

With the events of September 11, 2001 and Hewlett-Packard announcing the discontinuance of the HP3000 line, EDIT's business slowed and Adam left to pursue other interests. In 2002, Michael began working with Integrated Information Systems, Inc. (I2S) and in 2004, EDIT and I2S officially merged.

Fast forward to November 2012. EDIT has once again emerged during a time of great change in the computing industry. Mobile devices, tablet computers, and cloud computing are very prominent. Location based services have the ability to transform how people interact with technology as well as carry the potential to practically eliminate personal privacy. Big Data issues for companies have never been more at the forefront with relational database models struggling to compete with NoSQL based products.

What does the future hold for EDIT? We're not yet sure, but it certainly won't be boring!
