Since SLEEPER is in essence 'freeware' there is no set/preferred way for
deployment. Each site has established their own standards and thus it is
difficult to provide a 'one fits all' method for installing it.

In addition, since SLEEPER needs PM capability in order to access the
schedule across accounts and since it needs to run under an MPE user with
SM capability, I'm sure that most sites would prefer to be given the
opportunity to deploy it as they see fit.

*NOTE: As of 2/25/2002 a 'standardized' installation method is also made*
* available. See the 'AAREADME' file in the package for details. *
*************************************************************************

The SLEEPLZW.BIN file is an 'archive' and you'll need the 'LZW' utility
to extract the needed files. Said utility can be found at:
    a. ftp://ftp.telamon.com/lzw/lzw.mpeix.wrq

    b. Many of the third party vendors (i.e. ADAGER, LUND, DBGENERAL, etc.)
include 'LZW' with their software. As such there is a good chance
that you already have it on your system.

In order to proceed do the following:

1. Download the 'LZW' utility to your PC and then up-load it to your HP in
a group that has PM capability (i.e. UTIL.SYS). [NOTE: 'LZW' does not
need PM capability to 'unpress' the SLEEPLZW.BIN archive. You could
however use LZW for compressing/archiving any type of MPE files in order
to conserve space or to transport through FTP of DSCOPY to another server.
The PM capability is needed when LZW tries to operate on IMAGE datasets
and thus you'll need to add the 'PM' capability using MPEX or LINKEDIT].

(Skip above step if a recent version LZW is already on your system)

2. Build a group that can be used as a staging area. (i.e. 'sleepstg.sys')

3. Change group into the 'sleepstg.sys' group

4. Transfer the 'sleeplzw.bin' file (binary xfer) into the same MPE group.

5. Issue the command:
     LZW.util '-f sleeplzw -r @.@.@ -local'

6. Read/study the contents of the file 'AAREADME' for an overview and
    installation instructions.

Good luck

Regards
